Most of us deal with details everyday and when it comes time to plan a vacation, we long for the ease of selecting one destination that combines unparalleled luxury and effortless relaxation in a tropical locale – all accomplished with the simple task of signing the bottom line once. On a recent trip to the northern coast of Jamaica, we discovered all that and more at the Grand Lido Braco.

Located on 85 lush, beachside acres, the Grand Lido Braco surpassed our expectations and proved one of the most lavish all-inclusive resorts we’ve found thus far. The buzz among repeat guest and first-timers like us was filled with admiration and awe for this special resort, for we all shared the feeling that we had discovered a vacation paradise with its multitude of choices for relaxation, recreation, dining and entertainment included in one, up-front price. Although the advice of those in-the-know was welcomed, I found that a quick retreat to a hammock on the beach with a refreshing Jamaican rum punch was the best way plan my next activity or meal.

Serving as the resort’s center is a Jamaican-style town square lined with the village shops, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The stately town hall, serves as the reception area, and the town square opens up on to a breathtaking free form swimming pool, complete with swim up bar and picturesque ocean views. During the day, guests can sip drinks poolside, find tranquility on the beach or enjoy recreational activities such as windsurfing, water skiing, sunfish sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, golf, tennis. Planned entertainment, classes and activites range from reggae dancing, and Jamaican cooking, pool volleyball, yoga, botanical tours and "international crab racing. " Whatever you choose to do, the activities are planned for enjoyment, laughs and cultural education.

When the sun sets, the resort’s atmosphere becomes intimate with guests mingling around the sparkling town square. For an especially romantic and formal evening, dine at the warmly "Caribbean-colonial" and elegant Piacere restaurant. Japanese cuisine and sushi are served at Munahana where the table front cooking is expertly performed by Jamaican chefs that suspiciously all share the last name of "Sung.” Other choices for dining include the delectable poolside open-air Victoria Market and La Pasta sidewalk café. A special treat on Friday evenings is the Grand Gala Jamaican Street Dance that fills the town center. The abundant yet beautifully presented buffets are spectacular and chefs are on hand making fresh salad, fresh grilled lobster and jerk chicken.

Wherever you choose to dine at the Grand Lido, you’ll find the atmosphere is always festive and foreshadows an evening to be filled with music and dancing. Every night there is a wide selection of entertainment and special events where you can enjoy the pleasure of meeting other guests and the gracious members of the highly attentive staff.

There are many special qualities radiating from the Grand Lido Braco, making this resort totally encompassing with its warmth and luxury. Since everything is included and tipping not permitted, you can truly indulge yourself and enjoy the freedom of a detail-free getaway. To escape to the "super-inclusive" Grand Lido Braco visit SuperClubs and for vacations planning in the Caribbean visit Air Jamaica.
