Amidst the luxury residences and timeshare of the Ko Olina Resort & Marina, there stands a regal and classic hotel property, the Ihilani Resort & Spa. The Ihilani rises above the lush green hillsides, pristine lagoons, and white sandy beaches as an oasis of pampering paradise and its long tradition of hospitality just improves with the passage of time. This classic property has set many standards for excellence and its distinctive architecture is a beacon of modernism on Oahu’s historic leeward coast.

The Ihilani features 17 floors and 387 generously appointed rooms, most with dramatic unobstructed views of the ocean and lagoons from their airy balconies. The guest rooms carpeting, bedding, and color treatments blend classic Hawaiian style with modern elegance, while the magnificent marble bathrooms of the suites are larger than some of the hotel rooms you'll find in Waikiki. Easily the crown jewel of the Ihilani is the 4,000-square-foot Presidential Suite. Key amenities in the Suite include formal living and dining rooms, a baby grand piano, a fully equipped kitchen, and a panoramic promenade deck with ocean views to die for. The Ihilani's Presidential Suite is among the most impressive rooms we've seen among the hundreds of luxury properties visited by eCityofTravel.

Equally impressive is the Ihilani Spa, a 35,000-square-foot compliment to the resort. The full service, world-class and award-winning spa boasts several unique traits. It is the largest full-service spa on the island of Oahu and features the rarest of spa treatments: Thalasso Hydrotherapy. Thalasso tubs are fueled by seawater in a full massaging bath mixed with pure essential oils, combined with color light therapy and aromatherapy to cleanse the spirit. The Ihilani Spa also features complete fitness programs, massage therapies, salon services, as well as an outdoor lap pool and lit championship tennis courts.

Fine dining at the Ihilani presents several options. The signature Azul restaurant features an eclectic blend of Mediterranean flavors and regional cuisine. The hotel's Naupaka Terrace offers a more relaxed dining environment with daily breakfast buffets and authentic Hawaiian lunch and dinner specials. Adjacent to the Naupaka Terrace is the Ushio-Tei, specializing in Japanese cuisine. Both Naupaka Terrace and Ushio-Tei overlook the hotel's pool and the lagoon beyond it.

Nestled between Azul and Naupaka Terrace are the resort's saltwater ponds, filled with rays, starfish, and young hammer head sharks. Educational and instructional programs organized in partnership with Reef and Ray Adventure allows guests to interact with these exotic Hawaiian creatures – a guaranteed delight for kids.
