A trio of historic homes comprises Pearls, a richly appointed and eclectic Inn located in Newport Rhode Island’s Historic Hill District. The well restored Victorian main house, circa 1865 is a melody of styles and complete with a grand staircase with leaded windows, a rich red sitting and dining room, an uber-trendy boutique and one of a kind museum pieces. Guests first sense that something is amiss when they find fashion magazines and art books on display while the requisite tourism brochures have been pushed aside.

The owner, Ray Meyerson, has created a jovial and festive ambience in all the houses and guest tend to linger in the inviting surroundings. Executive Chef Blondee, whose glamour, humor and signature dishes including Back Stabbin Pucker Lickin Ribs, Wing Wong Pizza, and Vampire Pizza have made her numerous television appearances lively events brings her infectious energy to Pearls. At home, in the kitchen while dressed in couture, Blondee loves to share her recipes and stories with guests who find her signature cocktail Riding The Horse Backward irrespirable. From the delectable breakfast buffet to cocktails by a fire in the evening guest find much to enjoy, including a hot tub in the picturesque and private garden. While the main house is a richly decorated and the suites and bedrooms opulent and romantic the décor in the other two houses, an historic 1750 Colonial home and an elegant Federalist Home circa 1825, is warmly contemporary. Modern art adorns the walls throughout Pearls, and an iconic Warhol hangs in the living room of one of the houses. Guest will also find that the spacious guestrooms and suites in these historic houses have been renovated to include large guest bathrooms.

Nearly anytime of the year is perfect for a visit to historic Newport Rhode Island. Home to many of the nations most spectacular mansions built by 19th century industrialist and graced with a magnificent coastline, Newport is a perfect place discover at your own pace.
