Overlooking lush mangroves and the picturesque white-sand beach of the Gulf of Mexico, the landmark Registry Resort & Club celebrates the natural beauty of Naples, Florida with a flare for the dramatic. And now with a $30 million makeover completed, The Registry is poised to offer guests an unmatched encounter with Florida's gorgeous Paradise Coast.

The grand scale of The Registry's renovations penetrated all areas of the property, from the 474 guestrooms and suites to the 45,000 square feet of meeting of space. The enhanced pool complex features five swimming pools, sun decks, cabanas, and a 100-ft long waterslide called the Mangrove Mountain. The luxurious guestrooms were redesigned with new fabrics and furniture in a palette of gold, caramel, and ecru to create a distinct European flavor. Breathtaking sunsets over the Gulf are in full view while perched on the private balcony or reclining on an exquisite chaise lounge from just within the room. An especially nice touch is found in the enlarged bathroom's granite and marble features of the glass-enclosed shower.

One area of The Registry that was not altered by the ambitious makeover is the majestic lobby. Turquoise Italian marble and hand-woven Asian carpets complement native Floridian flowers in wide-open space spanning two floors. Beautiful water features and numerous seating areas make the large lobby cozy and inviting. After a few short minutes, about the time needed to check-in, it becomes quite obvious why the renovations did not include the signature lobby.

A healthy contrast to the refined elegance of the lobby can be found in the recently opened Luna Ultralounge. Formerly known as Club Zanzibar, the sleek and modern Luna creates a decidedly new nightlife scene. Hip music and sexy interior design makes this ultralounge the epitome of cool.

After drinking and dancing the night away, pay a visit to The Sanctuary or Fitness Center to recharge your batteries. The newly-completed Sanctuary is a Zen-inspired haven combining tranquil water features and bamboo flooring with views of the mangroves to create 13 modern Asian-style treatment rooms and relaxation area. The calming décor sets the ambiance for an array of spa services including revitalizing and purifying facial treatments and therapeutic massages such as soothing hot stone and aromatherapy.

Of course, a long night at Luna Ultralounge isn't the only way to provoke a revitalization session at the Health Club and Spa. The Tennis Center and Naples Grande Golf Club provides guests with the finest facilities in the region. With 15 Har-Tru courts, five of them lit, and a full array of pro shop services, Tennis Magazine named The Registry one of the 50 greatest US tennis resorts. Meanwhile, the Rees L. Jones designed 18-hole course of the Naples Grande Golf Club was named one of the 50 top courses in Florida. The 250-acre course features a pristine 30-acre freshwater lake, numerous height and tee variations, and a panoramic view of the surrounding, untouched woodland.

A day on the links or the courts is perfectly capped by lunch or dinner at one of the several dining options at The Registry. Seafood lovers will find the Brass Pelican's rum-glazed Chilean sea bass divinely irresistible, while a juicy filet mignon accompanied by the perfect merlot is difficult to beat.
